In a successful event, in donations, swapping and grabbing, the first Kids Clothing Swap went off without a hitch!
It was a beautiful day Sunday. People were playing basketball on the court. Tables were set up with clothes ranging from 9 months all the way to young adult sizes. Macaroni Kid Amherst Northampton was able to help many people both in purging their home, but clothing themselves and their children.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to donate and come out to host our first clothing swap.
In the future we'll be hosting clothing, toys, or baby gear.
A special thank you to Dotty at Renaissance Preschool for accepting donations at her morning preschool location at Immanuel Lutheran Church. We were able to get so many more donations thanks to your amazing families.
The left over clothes will be donated to a facility that does not charge for clothing. At this time we're also looking into seeing if some of the clothes can be donated to those impacted by Hurricane Helene.
