Tin Can Learners Remote After School Program

October 9, 2020

Tin Can Learners is a project-based, community-oriented, remote after-school program intent on spreading joyful learning in the days of online schooling. Started by 5 undergraduate students, Tin Can Learners hopes to help take the load off of families by offering engaging virtual after-school classes for young people in grades 4 -8.  Their classes give kids connection, engagement, and play during the days of online schooling.

Registration is now open for Session 3, which begins on November 2nd.  Classes will be offered in coding, film-making, acting, animation, creative writing, and the visual arts. Parents can check out the class offerings and register here. Kids who are registered also have access to online homework help Monday - Thursday from 6 - 7 p.m.

Parent Feedback:

“Tin Can is a fantastic resource for fun, teen-focused enrichment. The instructors are kind and knowledgeable and young enough to feel like a cool older sibling rather than a teacher. The Friday Fun activities add critical social interaction that our kids are lacking these days.”
